Client Brief:

University of Leicester was looking for a solution to promote and enhance existing outdoor spaces as students return to campus after the restrictions of Covid-19.

An engaging space to shelter during inclement weather for social, study and general well-being.

The venue Centenary Square bang in the middle of campus, surrounded by the new Students’ Union; the Attenborough Tower, Engineering Building, David Wilson Library and Leicester Law School. The square was opened in 2018 by Sir David Attenborough who grew up in a house,

What we delivered:

We supplied four solid wood 12ft / 3.6m diameter clear igloo structures to hire with multiple lockable doors for air flow and engagement.

The structures featured solid floors with vinyl finish enabling them to operate safely on hard-standing ground, integrated LED up-lighting and eco efficient ceramic fan heaters ensured the space is well ventilated and comfortable during the changeable spring.

The feedback from the students has be fantastic and Kreate Spaces hopes to build on the supply with other opportunities to support the Universities event programme over the coming year.
