Shelter Hall - Seafront Winter Igloos
Client Brief:
Shelter Hall built in 1880's was part of the historic Kings Road Arches and after falling into structural disrepair has now been transformed into a multilevel food market boosting 7 chef led kitchens, a cocktail bar and live music venue on Brighton seafront. The large Terrace provided the perfect space to develop a winter feature and offer an additional 72 covers to sample the best of local Sussex produce and small businesses.
What we delivered:
Nine 12ft/3.6m diameter wooden and clear solid panelled domes provided the perfect solution to maximise the space during winter months. Re-engineered by KS to withstand greater wind loads the domes were supplied with integrated solid floors, vinyl non slip flooring finish, fan heaters, colour changing led lights with WIFI connectivity and smart app control. The igloos were installed over a 2-day period and have proven a huge success with both locals and tourists enjoying the seafront during the winter months.
